A perfect local gastro-pub in a beautifully restored historic building and tribute to legendary Minnesota hockey coach Herb Brooks (of Miracle on Ice fame).Went here before attend a concert at Xcel Energy Center, everything you want for pre-post show in St. Paul....highly recommend!

Amazing food (I had the omelet and hashbrowns) and a beautiful old building with awe inspiring architecture to boot....if I lived in Minneapolis I could see this becoming a regular hang out for me

I never knew about this place until recently. Looks classy. Serves good drinks. The bartender was also very respectful, and knowledgeable. The interior decor takes the crown; it's simple and elegant. I will absolutely recommend this place. I will also absolutely go back for drinks. I have not tried their food menu, so, I can't say much about it. But, I shall write one after my next visit.

I’ve seen some reviews stating that service is slow or nonexistent. I did not see this. We were in last Saturday before a MN Wild game. We were greeted immediately and at. We were also brought water and our beverage orders were taken. The place was increasingly busy and soon the bar area was packed. We never felt neglected and our server was attentive. The food was very good. We had the brussel sprouts, scallop pasta, risotto and flat bread pizza. All were very tasty. Our cocktails were also very tasty, but not very strong. We’d definitely come back. We had great service, great food and decent drinks. The atmosphere is really nice with the fireplace.

Classic old school restaurant in the heart of St. Paul. Had brunch. It was classic food, well seasoned, fairly priced and had friendly staff. Great ambiance and views. Fun people watching. Even being so cold outside, you'll be warm with radiators by all of the windows.
