I have never been here despite living in the area my entire life. Went with some friends tonight and had a blast. They do a great job of social distancing everyone there to watch the dogs, not so much in the card room though. They have some food and drinks but it was nice to just be able to hang out, place some bets, and watch the dogs run.

It is simply amazing to watch these beautiful hounds run. Poetry in motion !! As this historic place nears it's end as a Greyhound Track, it seems like a sad shell of what it once was in it's heyday. I could only imagine what it would have been like in the days when Babe Ruth and Micky Mantle came to the track. A bygone era, soon to be completely erased. It was very enjoyable and interesting to spend time there today. I suggest that if you ever wanted to see Greyhounds run, you make plans and go asap. I am not a gambler so the poker etc was not a draw to me. However, watching people play poker is quite interesting. If you enjoy people watching, it's not a bad place to be.... I wish all the people who work there with the dogs the best of luck. I am sorry that you have lost your \jobs\. I know caring for the dog's is far more than just a job to you. Best wishes.

Love this place!! Always a great time and good for the whole family! My kids have always enjoyed watching the greyhounds race! It's a shame that the greyhound racing is coming to an end tomorrow. I remember the voting on that ammendment and it was a trick the way they wrote it. I had to read it twice because the way it was worded. What a shame! First class all the way everytime we have gone. Sad day in St Petersburg when the dog races are gone!!!!!
The dog races were super fun. I'm sad to see them go... Get there today or tomorrow or you won't get another chance!!!
