I have been trying to get in touch with my case worker since September of 2019 when my baby was due. I have not heard anything back from anyone. I’ve called, left messages, and even went as far as showing up in person over 29 times. My healthcare expire even though I filled out all paperwork and turned it in early and was force to redo the same paperwork 5 times at the office and still no reply call or anything. Everyone in that building should be fired and let people with integrity and a passion for people do this job correctly.
I am thankful that my application was approved, however I had to follow up by calling the local office, DMAS, and through email for close to 2 months. My application was never reviewed and then processed 2 months later by a Specialist that I had to email to receive feedback, after leaving voice messages. I am still waiting for a response to an email I sent last month. On a separate issue, I emailed a different employee expressing interest in a different program, asking specific information. The employee explains that I need to apply and doesn't provide me the requested information. I was able to locate the information directly on the Social Services website myself.
I got a letter saying i didn't fill out the SNAP renewal form properly but no information as to how to correct that. I've called every 2 days and left about 6 messages for B. Turner. No calls back and i get the run around when i call the receptionists' desk. If this was a public owned business, they'd have been shut down long ago. Very poor service.
Trying to get into contact with your case worker is nearly IMPOSSIBLE. It took a personal visit and a 2 hour wait to speak to my case manager. The receptionist made a snarky comment telling me that it's going to be a long wait and that it would be easier to come back at a different time. I told him that I've been trying to contact my case manager for a month now without success and I don't believe I should wait another single pointless day. So, I sat my happy butt down and waited. It only took 15 minute,15 MINUTES! to resolve my issue. A brief 15 minute conversation that took a month to get.... Again, I'm having issues with coverage for my child without no explanation. I've called the office 3 times today and despite it being their open hours, it's going straight to voicemail and to call on regular business hours. My caseworker is nowhere to be found too! Looks like they will be seeing my *** again.
