Beautiful hike with remnants of early settlers in Shenandoah National Park still visible at the Pocosin Mission and small nearby cemetery. Entry trail also crosses the AT. Parking off Skyline Drive close to PATC Pocosin Cabin and not far from South River overlook and much easier to spot in winter months.
