Very bad experience. Was a 20 yr Honeywell Security customer who was unfortunately bought out by Stanley Security. Was a nightmare to cancel service, with Stanley making two years of extra payments for no service due to ridiculous technicalities. We asked for a little understanding because the commercial business converted to a charity mission after retirement, and the president (sole proprietor) was out of the country saving lives during the time a renewal letter was sent. Stanley took advantage of the situation to exploit a second year of payments for a business and building that no longer existed. There is more. When we closed down the business, we mistakenly shut off the phone line for the fire-riser alarm to the building. Stanley never noticed that the line was disconnected for almost a year! This was proof that the riser was not being monitored, but we were still charged for the entire time. Once we notified Stanley of that the line was not on, they did not offer any refunds for the time they were not monitoring. We did not make a big fuss about it, but it shows how important the customer is with this company. The business model for Stanley Convergent Security Solutions is doomed for failure. Avoid this company at all costs.

Avoid at all cost. I have first hand experience with Stanley Security and it was (and still is) a nightmare. First, their installers used wood screws in our new metal doors to install the sensors and apparently needed to make multiple holes to find the right spot, leaving our new doors full of holes. Second, we asked them to call before showing up, but three times they just showed up for installs and kept telling us we needed to call their dispatch (which we did repeatedly). Then, after they finished installing, the installer told us not to use the system until they get it set up. Three months later, the installer never returned, and we get a bill from Stanley saying we haven't paid our service in three months. After going back and forth via email, the supervisor, or manager, or executive (I don't know) replies all to the email inadvertently sending the email back to us which apparently was meant only for their eyes speaking so unprofessionally about us as if we were just trying to cause trouble and the terms he used to refer to us were appalling. Then, to add to insult, we made sure to spell out early on that we didn't want them to call the police without first calling us. So, now, they keep calling the police and we have gotten tickets from the police for false calls. We told them we have a gardener that comes on Sundays and to not call the cops. Yet again, they call the cops and keep calling us on Sundays to say there is a \suspicious man trimming our bushes\. Ridiculous! While working out their, we left our tools locked in the bathroom to come the next day with the bathroom broken into, our tools missing and no call from Stanley, no video of the crime and utter incompetence on their part. We can't get out of the contract without paying 5,000 for the remaining balance of the contract. Avoid, avoid, avoid!

Their drivers are reckless!! One of them almost killed me this morning when he knowingly took a red light i was already on the intersection my light was green and out of no where he swerved to the left passed 2 cars and took that light mind u there was an oncoming lane where he decided to drive on to take the red light!!
