This place was INCREDIBLE!!! I have never been so underwhelmed in a museum visit in all my life. 10/adult for 10 wax figures, including Cousin Zeke in Jesse's brother's bathtub! That's only a dollar a figure, of which most of them may have been somewhat relevant!! OOH! And the movie to start it off! What production value! Oh, I mean, what production value? I've never learned so little about who Jesse James was before! He does have quite the arsenal, by which I mean one of the four rooms of this museum dedicated to Jesse James was really just a bunch of guns he never owned hung in cases. Fascinating!! Don't let the secret out!!! There's a reason that they don't let you take photos in the museum, they don't want you to spoil the surprise of just how little there is to see! It's absolutely MIND-BOGGLING just how quickly you can move through this museum without missing a thing. Sheer genius! I honestly feel like I need to go read a book about Jesse James and what he's done with his life, because this museum made me forget he was even an outlaw. Glad he lived to be 103! Five stars!

This place is described as a wax museum. There are very few wax characters. There are no photographs inside the museum because they want you to pay to see it. It makes sense. However as small as it is I could have captured the entire pay for part in about 15 photos. If you are into the western history and Jesse James stuff go ahead and check it out. There are a lot of older fire arms on display. I think 9 per adult and 4.50 per child is too much for what it is. They have a large gift shop with a couple cool slot machines to try to win a souvenir. We didn’t buy anything. Oh well. It was a nice little break from being on the road I suppose.

Nice gift shop. Fun affordable glimpse of history. Museum is bigger than it looks

Went in today with my boyfriend. It was *the best* experience of my entire vacation. Went in expecting more than 8 whole wax figures (one for every billboard we passed on the way down there). If they invested some of the money from just one billboard they might be able to afford something even remotely interesting. The only part of the place I willingly stayed more than sixty seconds was the gun room, and it was so sparsely decorated I had to check to make sure I was still in the museum. The film claimed to be 12 minutes long, but it really felt like half an hour sitting there listening to the guy onscreen try and fail to read his lines. I learned more about Jesse James in seventh grade American History Class. (He wasn't even covered). Enjoy wasting 10 on a ticket and gasoline getting there.

Eh, not too bad but I wouldn't say it wasn't worth the 10 admission charge. If you're into old guns there is an extensive collection of old guns, but only a few with ties to the James family. The museums main focus is to get people to support the claim that Jesse James lived to the ripe old age if 102 and was not the man shot in the back while hanging a picture.
