A first time client and I would say this salon is the best in State College. I have tried a couple of other places (Holiday Hair, Viva Bella, etc.), but Changing Times Hair Designs is the best of all. Suzie (the owner) did an excellent job coloring my hair, and a hair cut in the end. The hair color was exactly what I was hoping to get. She is very professional and a great hair stylist/hair colorist. My hair is still very healthy and soft after being bleached to get highlights. The place is very clean and everybody in this salon is friendly and welcoming. Suzie listened carefully to what I was looking for, and before starting the process, and throughout, she explained every step to me patiently. Very reasonable price for the service they offer. I am very happy with the haircut and the hair color, and will definitely go back for the next times. I highly recommend this salon to anyone who is looking for professional beauty services.

I would give more stars if I could. I’ve used Changing Times for multiple services. 1) Susie touched up my balayage perfectly and may have even improved it. The color matches perfectly and she added more dimension while still making sure that my hair was staying healthy. 2) I ordered extensions for my wedding though them. They were very good quality and Susie helped me with the color match. 3) Susie and her team did hair and makeup for my wedding. The girls came to my hotel and practically spent the entire day with us. I had Susie come to the venue to touch up my hair and she enthusiastically did so. Overall, I would absolutely refer them for all of the services they offer. Their prices are reasonable and honestly the reason I keep coming back is because they are all such a pleasure to work with and will do anything in their power to help.

It was my first time to Changing Times Hair Designs and I had the MOST INCREDIBLE experience with Susie! Firstly, she was able to accommodate my limited schedule availability. When I arrived and shared my desire for low maintenance glamor, she really listened...AND DELIVERED!! Her knowledge, passion and experience resulted in the best coloring I've ever had. I don't live in the area, but will happily drive or fly any distance to continue seeing Susie. Thank You Susie for the experience and giving me the best hair I could ever imagine. The salon was SUPER CLEAN (a must especially during these times) and I felt very safe.

I had an excellent experience last week! I needed a last minute cut and for my graduation photos, and Changing Times came to the rescue. I was warmly welcomed and able to fix myself a coffee before sitting down and chatting with Susie. She took her time and went above and beyond with styling my hair in beautiful curls. It was fantastic to sit down and chat with her. She’s extremely personable and I learned a lot. I was a bit strung out after having driven from the Philadelphia area to get my pictures taken, but I left completely relaxed, feeling gorgeous, and I loving the way it came out. I’m recommending the salon to all of my friends in the area, and I look forward to coming back when I’m in State College.
