It's the State Fair. You go there knowing what to expect and still have a good time. Perfect day kjtside and I was able to eat my weight in those famous Fletcher's corndogs. The mass of people you have to navigate getting around aren't really an issue.

They have a good system to move in the crowd with multiple ticket booths but you might have a short wait at security.
