I've needed to change my name since June and it's not possible at this time. It seems that if schools and medical offices and banks are opened, this place should be opened also to help people in need to name changes. The pandemic does not stop your life. I will NOT mail all of my original documents by post, it's a ridiculous notion and not an acceptable alternative. I also will not mail in my drivers license to prove who I am nor a certified medical letter?!?!?! Like do what?!? ADA in the statesboro office talked over me the whole time. I even asked to speak with the manager, she said sure, then turned around and stated “oh let me see if she’s even available” and I ended up not even being put through. It says we can set up an appointment on the automated machine but if you don’t fall under their “category” you’re unable to do so. This is VERY unprofessional.

Called today to get help with a matter. Mr. Parker helped me and was so nice throughout the whole process. He was extremely helpful and very personable. Was just like two old country boys just carrying on a conversation. Wonderful people at this location. Thank you Mr. Parker!!!

This office is the most efficient Social Security office I have dealt with. Every time I have called to ask a question, they have been so helpful and pleasant. I have tried on multiple occasions to reach the Savannah field office to no avail. The phone prompts will not even allow me to select an operator to assist me. Each time I have contacted the Statesboro office the wait time has been minimal and the service, stellar. I really appreciate the efficiency and patience the officers at this field site offer newbies.
