Blessed with great views of the meteor shower in August! Very little light pollution (if any) for stargazing. Road up is pretty rough, SUVs did best, 4WD low riding car made it without bottoming out completely. Campsites are nicely spaced out for the most part.

If I could rate this 0 stars I would. This is the worst road I have ever been on in my life. I was genuinely worried about my safety on the edge of the mountain. There are 12” pot holes every three feet. I had to turn around after driving up this death trap for 30 minutes. My dog cried the whole way up and down because he was so freaked out. I am a traveler so my dog is used to being on the road. 10/10 would never recommend this spot.
