Outstanding facility with exceptional coaches across a wide range of martial arts disciplines. I set up private training sessions while in town. Coach Leah created a custom training plan based on my goals and skill level. Excellent balance of technique, high intensity training, partner work. Even added on post-training vinyasa yoga. From the students to the other coaches to the owner Ajarn Scott Howard, all around world-class experience.

Coming to Disciple MMA from my last MMA gym as a 2-0 fighter I felt as though I had hit my peak of skill until I began training here. The coaching from Ajarn Howard and the rest of the Disciple crew is top notch. It has elevated my game to a whole new level. Now 6-0 in MMA, 2-0 in Muay Thai and 1-0 in boxing while holding a title in MMA. It is apparent to me that Disciple MMA is the best gym in Virginia for those that want to take their training to the next level, all while feeling safe and welcomed by the staff there. Whether you’re trying to get in shape or take your first exhibition bout, Disciple MMA is the spot to be at.

Been attending Judo and Jiu Jitsu classes at Disciple for years. A brotherhood and sisterhood of disciplines practicing different arts: Judo, Muay Thai, Jiu Jitsu, Boxing, Taekwondo, Wrestling. I enjoy the respect shared by all. A great place to train for self defense or competition both amateur or professional. Highly recommend Disciple MMA Academy.
