The store itself is pretty good, unless you’re looking for goalie equipment. They used to have a much bigger and more diversified stock. Now the limited models they carry are all fit-stock, which means you cannot buy it at the store only try it on then order online. It still gets four stars though, because every time we come in TJ takes care of my goalie with great advice and finds something that will work for him.

This branch of Pure Hockey is fantastic. Their manager Josh is extraordinarily helpful and accommodating. I also worked with their associate Nate who was awesome as well. All very knowledgeable and got me into a great pair of skates. They were also very understanding about my distance traveled to get to the store, and making arrangements to get me some other gear I needed without having to come back down. Highly recommend this place for all your hockey needs!

I have to say that I am always appreciative of the level of service the Josh and the staff of the Sterling store provides to my family. They are top notch. While it may seem easier to shop online and have it delivered to your home, it really is far more efficient to spend a few minutes walking the aisle, asking some questions, and buying the right equipment the first time.

Staffing is a bit low in quantity at times, but more than made up for in quality. Everyone who works here seems to love the sport and genuinely care about making sure you have a good experience. Highly recommend coming here, especially if you're just getting started - they are awesome at helping people get started.

My son had a hockey game on Saturday. We changed a skate blade and the skate broke while trying to get the new blade inserted. I walked in and told them they were only two months old, and that we bought them there. They didn’t even question me. They sprang into action letting me know it was a defect, and would be fully covered at no charge. Josh said they normally don’t do this kind of repair on a Saturday, but that they would have me out the door in no time. This kind of service is rare these days, and they fully deserve all of the five stars for their service I am giving them. Great job!!! We will be back!
