Both - my wife and I did LASIK corrections with the Eye Center and were very happy with both results as well as professionalism of the medical staff. We have been coming at least once a year for years for our routine check-ups for over 15 years, however, as of today we made a decision to look for a different practice. I still believe that on medical side they are fine, and they provide a good service for money - however, while I have no idea whatsoever which practice we will go to in future (of course it will not be related to the Eye Center) - I think if they do not care whether to try to keep clients that have been going there for 15 or more years - then I will chose to spend my money elsewhere. I wish them all the success in the world - but, we will look for different providers, although I still want to thank them for what they have done for us medically. Please note our decision to change providers has absolutely nothing to do with the quality of their work - just with administration part of the business.

I had ptosis surgery in Oct 2020 and it was successful at returning the eyelids to normal function. Dr Mansour told me that the lid surgery would exacerbate my dry eyes because the eyeballs would be exposed more often once the lids worked correctly. He recommended consistent use of eye drops at least 3 times a day. One of my eyelids developed a persistent inflammation post surgery -- red, puffy, itchy. It would get better after a night's sleep, likely because the lid was closed all night. But, the problem would always return in the morning. This eye did not respond to eye drops. In fact, commercial drops seemed to make the problem worse. Natural tears were the only thing that could quell the itching in that eye. I used two different kinds of antiseptic drops on a Rx from the Eye Center, but neither seemed to make a difference. By chance, I discovered that the left eye problem would often clear up when I went outside. I determined that this was because of the higher relative humidity outdoors. I tried to adjust me central furnace humidifiers with \humidify by fan\. That helped a little, but not enough to make a difference. I next deployed three 1 gallon warm mist humidifiers around the house -- next to the family room TV chair, in my office, and in my bedroom. Eventually, this solved the problem.

I had my lasic surgery in 2002 and was amazed how well I could see immediately, when the surgery finished I looked over and could read the time on the wall clock that I could hardly see before. I could not be happier with my results and followup visits. the only part I did not like was the eyelid clamps during the surgery were uncomfortable. I was surprised when they told me no showers for 2 weeks after the surgery. I wish that they had told me about that before, but that was only a minor inconvenience, not a real problem.

I have been a patient of Dr. Boutros since he started he began practicing in Loudoun. He is direct and honest. As a person with MS I have more tests than the average person. I hadn't seen him in years and was accepted back as a patient to see Dr Boutros due to possible optic neuritis. My eyes have been well cared for with him. I just went the other day for my yearly appointment. I can't put it off anymore I pick up my glasses in 2 wks. Robin was very helpful with picking out frames and patient in explaining my options based on insurance coverage.

Not a good experience at all, it is supposed that Dr. Butera is pediatrician? But looks like she doesn't like kids, she doesn't show empathy at all, she doesn't know how to treat them, she was very unprofessional, and acted a she was doing me a favor checking my kids, I have to force her to check one of my kids as she was saying to the nurse she already check both of them, when that was not true, that attitude made me feel so upset, and realize that she is not the doctor I want for my kids. The nurse was not better, same attitude, rude, didn't show empathy at all, unprofessional, she showed more worry about my insurance than anything, and the worst she made me feel so frustrated when she put dilation drops to one of my kids twice arguing she didn't do it the first time when I saw her doing it!!!Of course my child cried as it was the second time and didn't want the same. My experience was really frustrating, and was even worst for my kids, it was their first time going to an eye doctor and they were very disappointed, definitely it is not a place I would recommend
