I love to smoke. As a pitmaster myself I can truly say this is the best BBQ restaurant in Northern Virginia bare none. The meats were cooked to perfection. I tried the pulled pork, ribs, chicken, and sausage. All were exceptional. The sausage we amazing and cooked as pictured. All the sides were great as well. We loved the potato salad, beans, cornbread (moist and delicious), mac and cheese (kids liked the bowl), slaw. Only thing we were not able to try was the brisket (only after 5). I will be coming back regularly. It is 45 minutes from my house and I pass at least 6 BBQ joints on the way, and it is worth it. Great job guys on the true pit smoked bbq.

Smoked Chicken Salad Sandwich is HUGE and sooo good!! When I first saw how much chicken salad was given, I was planning on saving some for later. However, it was so good, 5min later I looked down at my plate and it was GONE. I should have ordered 2 orders. OMG, its THAT good. The cornbread is very tasty and fried catfish. Cant wait to go back next week!!

So good! I’ve been missing out. Had The Pit Stop for the first time over the weekend (recommended by a friend who’s friends work there) and it’s SO tasty! Great COVID precautions, meats were wonderful, sauces were perfectly balanced, and the beans might be the best I’ve had. Thank you!
I just had the best beef brisket sandwich I’ve ever had in my life (And I lived in NC for years). Both the regular and spicy sauces were unbelievable. The mac & cheese is equally extraordinary. This is now the permanent BBQ spot.
