I have been going to Washington Radiology for many years for various tests, starting in DC and more recently in Sterling. My experience has always been excellent, but I wanted to write a review of Melissa, the technician who did my mammogram yesterday. I was feeling extremely anxious but Melissa made the experience much better. She was friendly, professional, competent, and caring. She kept me informed every step of the way. I would highly recommend her and the rest of the staff.

I am a rad tech and moved here from the southwest where I worked on a variety of equipment and software. This place looks high end until you leave the lobby. The xray tube kept getting out of detent and the cassettes used were of low quality. You would think they would care to spend the money on a nice DDR system. Apparently, how the lobby appears is much more important than the quality of the equipment. I will not return and I would not work here.

I drove out to Sterling yesterday for a diagnostic mammogram. The radiology tech and radiologist who helped me were lovely and front desk staff was friendly. They were prompt and kept me updated on what was going on while I was waiting. I took off one star because someone, who was an employee, walked in behind me and stood around without a mask on for at least 3 or 4 minutes before she put on her mask (while signing in and getting her temp checked). I would think at a healthcare facility they would be a little more careful. Especially with case numbers increasing so rapidly.

I am very disappointed by the mammogram unit at sterling Virginia. They do not know how to treat the patient. Being a patient if you have queries and wanna to ask, they don’t appreciate and blame you. Doctor comes to dressing room and tells about the results, don’t have etiquette to make patient sit in room and explain. I would never come back or recommend anyone to washington radiology.

I’ve had delays getting the bone scan report to my Dr. It was not sent automatically to my Doctor’s office as it should have been. I called for days which turned into weeks to request that the report be sent to my Dr. I left messages that were not returned. In fact my doctors office took over calling the records office and left messages that weren’t returned and requested a fax copy of the report (one copy was promised but not sent at all, another copy was sent but it was a black page, another copy was sent but it was unreadable). Apparently after all of this, my doctor’s office finally has the copy of the report and I’m now waiting for the doctor to review it and post it to my patient chart. It’s been about a month from the date of my test. Dieting this time, I sent an email to the Director of Radiology at Washinton Radiology and my issue wasn’t resolved. Now I’m sending an email to her superior. I wonder how many other people are going through the same thing.
