This museum is run by volunteers so it may be advantageous to call and set an appointment before you visit. The museum is extremely personal and hands-on. Sharla Flake was our museum guide and she knew the history of the people who settled Snow Flake and the stories of many of their descendants. Our tour started in a house made from two original adobe houses where we loved the schoolroom upstairs. It continued with a log cabin that was dismantled in Beaver, Utah, carried about 500 miles by wagons, then rebuilt in Snow Flake. The final part of the tour is a three storey mansion (although they did not consider it as such) built in 1895 for the James Flake family who had over a dozen children. All three buildings are filled with original period furniture, belongings, photos and paintings. Our entire group loved this tour! Highest recommendation.
