There is a fine line between the prophetic and pathetic. What I read on the internet regarding Feed My People is totally pathetic. The writers can't be talking about the same place I shop at week after week. Well, well, well, let me say that I am a frequent shopper and I find this to be one of the best little shops in Stockbridge, GA. I shop at thrift store every Saturday. I go on Saturday’s to not only shop for clothing items but to take advantage of wholesale meat program that is offered. I usually buy the 5 for 20.00 meat items for my family. This is a program that I have not been able to find any place else. The meat is always fresh and the items are conveniently stored in a freeze in the front of the store making it easy for shoppers to find. As I was shopping on Saturday I was able to speak with Ms. Lewis (Executive Director) of this great facility. I just began to thank her for the programs that she have made available to the shoppers (as I stated, the 5 for 20.00 program is not offered at any of our retail stores). Ms. Lewis explained to me that she was introduced to the program by her wholesale meat vendor (Glover Foods). The program allows me to stretch my budget and provide wholesome nutritious meals for my family. I am grateful that such a place is in my community. Thank you Ms. Lewis for the services you provide to the community. There two types of people in this world; “takers and givers”. “Takers” eat better but “Givers” sleep better. I classify Ms Lewis as a giver and if there were more people like her in the Stockbridge and the surrounding communities, our state would be so much better. I think we all should be mindful of the word we speak; I know life has brought challenges to many of us, I say to you “hang in there, there is a king in you too”. M. Jones
