The Haïtian nurse practitioner

I went today to CVS minute clinic on Hawley Lane Stratford CT to have my PPD reading. It’s 4:15 pm, it says that they close at 4:30 pm and that woman told me she could not see me. Now i had to rush to make it to CVS, I’m a nurse practitioner and PPD readings are time sensitive, have to be read within 2-3 days. Today is day 2, tomorrow day 3 I’m working and leaving work late, now I would have to leave my patients early to run and have a reading done, otherwise i will have to start the process all over again, get the PPD injected then wait for it to be read, while I was right there in your store. If you’re a healthcare professional you know PPD readings take less than 1 minute. The computer part of it probably 5 mn. If you close at 4:30 pm and it’s 4:15 you’re refusing to see me because you probably had a rough day and just want to go home, how about you ask your manager to remove the 4:30 pm and put 4 pm, or even 3:45 pm for closing time; I wouldn’t have to rush to CVS for that. I mean the lady didn’t even to understand the time restriction on the reading “ come back tomorrow”, she doesn’t even know that tomorrow could’ve been too late for a reading. That’s really shameful and embarrassing to have that kind of person working with patients.

Do not use the minute clinic. These people are clearly collecting a paycheck and are not really out to help people. I went in on Saturday afternoon November 14th at the Hawley lane Strtatford Ct . The woman refused to see me even tho it was an 1 1/2 before closing time. This is the same sinus infection they misdiagnosed a couple moths prior and here I am today, giving it another try. I don’t know why I even bother. These people do not deserve the business. Call your primary and save your money.

Came for COVID testing, line of 10 people waited 3 hours without moving. No updates from them. Called and they just said “soon” each time. Terrible

Jackie was very thorough and helpful. I left the clinic feeling better than when I walked in, for sure. She also gave me information to read regarding my illness and possible affects from it. I would go back. Thank you!

Jaquez Family

My 6yr old and I used the Minute Clinic this evening for the first time to get our flu vaccines. We will not be returning. Jackie the nurse practictioner spent nearly 20 minutes checking us in, talked a lot about nothing, was accusatory asking why we waited until now to come in and basically insinuated if we got sick, it would be our own fault. While she was rambling and answered 2 phone calls during our appointment, I began prepping my daughter. She was scared, remember she’s six and asked for moment to get ready for this flu shot. Jackie could not have been any less professional in her behavior towards us. She began scolding my daughter, ranting about how she had other people waiting and that it wouldn’t hurt. I’m in healthcare, so I know a bit about patience and empathy. She had none. A minute to compose yourself shows the maturity of this 6yr old. In the end, my girl put on her big girl pants, got her flu shot, with some tears, and got on with her day. I apologized to my daughter about how she was treated by this provider. Me and my family members will never again use this place.
