My family and I have been fishing with Chris for over 30 years. Every trip is better than the next. His knowledge of the water is above the rest. Chris is amazing with children and truly makes them love to fish and want to catch more. My 10 year old daughter caught a 140 pound tarpon in April. Fishing with Chris is always a hi light of our trips to the Keys!

We fished for tarpon with Captain Chris during the peak of the season. The boat was not iced up at arrival and the first 4 hours of our 8 hour trip was spent “catching bait”. The final leg of the trip yielded hooking up one tarpon. Captain Chris was experienced, however it appeared he has lost his “passion”for truly working and exploring the water.
I am new to tarpon fishing and was hoping to get one on the fly. Unfortunately, the winds kicked up and that wasn’t an option. However, Captain Chris Barron was ready with a backup plan and was able to help me land a 90lbs and 120lbs tarpon on live bait. He had bait ready that morning which increased the amount of time I was able to spend on the water. He knew when and where he wanted to be and we ended up jumping 7 fish that day. I enjoyed the time on the water so much that I booked him two days later and we landed a 100lbs tarpon and a big jack in a morning trip. Chris is a hard working guide that I highly recommend. He will work to put you on fish and is intimate with the area and the fish that inhabit it. I will be fishing with Captain Chris in the future without a doubt!
Wanted to catch some tarpon in August while other guides told me they were gone Chris said he new a place we could look and we all hooked up. Very professional and friendly, his wife helped us with our reservation also. I won’t go and fish with any our guide
