*Bison Wildlife Photographers* During the winter the entire herd is sequestered into one pasture for about a month. You are not allowed to enter while they are in this one small pasture. I'm embarrassed I drove all the way there to find out the hard way! Most of the year the bison are free to photograph as they are free range. Beautiful area to take walks and see the natural beauty of the Prairie. I highly recommend if you live in Kansas - you have to go visit this area!

This was a really nice place to go and walk! We walked about 2 miles one way to actually see the bison but it was well worth it! Over the hill, off of the gravel road, there were many bison. They were still a bit far away though. The single one in the picture came closer to us so I was able to get a much better picture. Unfortunately, the house was closed for renovations. The barn was neat to see. The ranger had a little presentation which was engaging for the little kids.

A beautiful place to travel if you're not disabled. Plenty of trails and grass lands to walk through, but everything is heavy gravel and hard to walk on. The view makes up for it, though.

You could spend an entire day hiking with so many trails! The ranch compound is only partially open due to Covid and renovations, but they hare beautiful buildings from the outside. We had to go to the far end of the Bison Pasture to see them, but it was worth it! Bring your binoculars because they can be far from the trail. We want to come back earlier in the year to see more wildflowers.

One of the most beautiful places I've been. In the fall/winter/early spring when all the grass is yellow its even more surreal. It feels like you aren't in this world anymore. One of my favourite go to places.
