My husband and I have lived here for 2 years and we look forward to staying here for the foreseeable future. Apartments are spacious, full of amenities, and fairly updated (which can be a lot to ask for in the LA area!). The complex is also very well kept and peaceful to walk around. Thankful for Jun and his cleaning crew. The prices and rent increases can be hard to stomach, but when you consider the proximity to dining and stores, washer/dryer in unit, AC, and being a dog friendly complex, the apartments are certainly worth the price.

Regular thefts happening even in secured area. I will be commenting only on one thing that is safety of personal property in Avalon Studio City as well as response from the management. This happened to me twice while living in Avalon for past 1.5 years. In first case, my bike tire got stolen from the secured bike room that I reported to Avalon. That time they agreed to pay for any cost related to the purchase of the tire. Next time, my bike got stolen. Someone cut my bike lock into two pieces and took the bike from this secured bike room that has a webcam. This time the response from the management team was totally uncooperative. I was asked to file a police complaint and was told that management takes no responsibility even when a theft happened from their secured room! Its been a futile effort that I have been pursuing for a while. I hope things get change here otherwise I don't recommend Avalon Studio City.
My parents just moved into the building and I took a tour with them yesterday and was really impressed. I'm very familiar with rent pricing for the area and Avalon Studio City is very competitive. I like how friendly everyone is and even though it's an older building (meaning not erected like the gazillion new luxury apts in the last 10 years) it's really well maintained. the apartment my parents moved into had new light fixtures, new floors, a fresh coat of paint and the appliances were all shiny and clean. On the tour we met Jun, the service manager, and he was very welcoming and told my parents to call them if they have any questions or needs. Overall, I feel very safe knowing my parents are residing in a comfortable, secure place with good vibes.
Ricardo is Best Maintenance Tech! I needed his help twice in one week and he came through for me! I appreciate his help and great attitude!!
I have lived at this place for 3 years now and we just decided to move out due to the rent increase. We just could not afford it anymore. One great thing we loved about Avalon Studio City is the maintenance team! Our pre move out inspection went well, and Jun (maintenance manager) was very straight forward and honest with us. Anytime we had an issue, it was addressed right away. If the price to live here was more reasonable then we would stay.
