Great park to visit with many trails. Family oriented and dog friendly. There are various lakes, picnic grounds and parking lots oh and the Veteran’s Monument. The views are impressive You can swim in Lake Marcia. Crystal clear water. People are friendly and very helpful. 10 dollars admission for NJ residents, 5 for Veterans, 20 for non-residents. The only bathroom open is at the monument’s parking lot until 5pm. The park closes at 8pm. The wooden deck/platform is hidden at The Scenic Drive, where you can view NJ, NY and Pennsylvania! It’s about 3/4 of a mile from start, on your right on a rocky path. Enjoy! And happy trailing.

What an amazing place to go on trails and the view. Good getaway from NY and NJ a must watch tower visit and a beach like lake. Make sure to be there in Spring. Winter should also be a good drive but not been there in winter or Snow

High Point State Park is a wonderful state park, and it is amazing all year round! Summer...the beach is truly perfect for kids! Fills up quick in summer.. Check out the view from the monument area! The unique trees and grounds show the beauty of the area. Visit the center to see photos of some unique buildings that once were present. A great State Park, always happy to visit!

Park on Deckertown Rd. (CR650) and walked on Parker Trail, for a nice mellow hike down to Sunrise Mountain Rd. Takes about an hour to get there at a medium pace. Easily doable for children, and adults in average shape. Just watch out for speeding snowmobilers when snow is present.

Great place. However please close scenic drive and the road to the monument make it foot and bike travel only. We don't want pollution, litter and oil blowing into the woods from people who disregard the whole park, drive to the top and then leave. it would be much nicer to hike the Appalachian trail without cars passing by every second. Please covert the monument to a hiking/biking trail.
