I was apprehensive about going to physical therapy for my injured knee as I had not enjoyed it in the past. My experience was a large gym type room where it's loud, busy, and you get 5-10 min with the therapist and the rest of the time you are put on \filler\ activities by the assistants who don't seem as knowledgeable, such as bikes, etc. I was pleasantly surprised from my first appointment with Kim. She didn't rush me, she listened carefully and had a soothing presence. She was gentle and focused and helped me get back on the path to healing, by teaching me about how the body holds trauma. I love the private rooms, dim lighting, calm music and ample time with the therapist. They make their clients feel valued there and they are genuinely concerned about your pain. I also saw John who was great as well. I will not hesitate to go back here if future need arises.

Throughout my recovery I have had to deal with many different physical therapy places however by far this one has been the best! The staff is very friendly and helpful. The massage therapist I see here is very knowledgeable about the body and truly knows how to make you feel better.

After a serious car accident that left me in the hospital for 8 days, I started seeing John. He was not only able to help me with the physical pain I dealt with on a regular bases but he was also able to take all flare up pain away. He was patient and thorough. He took the time to understand what was going on with my injuries on every level, muscular, nerve, scar tissue...etc. John also helped me gain a better understanding of what my body was doing to cope/adapt to the injuries and hardware I had to have put in. I recommend Above Physical Therapy to anyone that has experienced an injury or body discomfort. Worth any wait time or price. They are a God sent!!

Said that they were going to cancel my appointment because I didn’t get them my insurance information by TODAY. My appt wasn’t until Tuesday of the following week. Said they have tons of people that are waiting for appts that have given them their insurance information. Told her I would get it to her by Monday but continued to say that if I didn’t get it to them by today they are going to cancel my appointment. They just seemed like they wanted to bill your insurance and take your money. They say they are in network with my insurance but yet still wanted me to pay the full cash amount. She didn’t even know what a UCR rate is, which is a discounted rate that patients are supposed to be charged just by having the insurance that the practice is in network with. They are charging those patients more than they should be. A providers contract (being in network) means they use the insurance companies rates, not their cash rates when patient have insurance with companies that they are in network with. They are not doing this.
