Affordable adventure, great to go with friends or on your own. To the right their are many small islands to visit to the left are but a few at distance. You want to go depending on the currents direction for ease and ride the current back when the tied changes. I really enjoy the place and tell my friends about it on base all the time. Staff is friendly and will go out of their way to help you in anyway. I bought a bag called the Mother load that featured gems fossils and sharkteeth in a bad of sand my daughter and I sift through I Great experience over all.

Tour guides are nice and friendly, but it wasn't what I was hoping for. You paddle to a marsh, and get an allotted amount of time, then you paddle to an oyster bed and get another 15 minutes and are done already and have to paddle back. It's more of a kayaking trip, not shell and shark tooth adventure.
Great place. Staff was friendly and helpful. Saw lots of cool scenery while kayaking. Highly recommend.
Today was my first time coming to Pogies. I booked reservations for a ride to the island. From booking my reservations on the phone, changing things up a few times bc of the weather and other friends coming, the hospitality while we were there, to leaving.... the staff was AMAZING! They made sure we were safe and taken care of... even offered to let us clean off our sandy items before we packed them in the car. They all had great “down to earth” sense of humor. Made us feel like we have known them forever! That made the experience even better! I ended up requesting to reserve every Sunday! I will continue to support this business! Thank you Pogies! Great place for kayak and inshore fishing accessories. Friendly staff. Great kayaks, I love my Jackson Big Rig. Nice location on the river.
