Rob and Julia Benfield from Swanton, Ohio have been making wine for about 10years. Benfield Wines started as a gesture of love with Rob making wine for his wife of 20 years, Julia, and their friends. After much encouragement from those friends and family, we decided to turn this pastime into a family business. We sold privately for three years then moved from Pettisville to Swanton to be closer to our customer base, finding the perfect spot to open publicly on the corner of 295 and Shaffer Rd. Starting small, We have built a cozy tasting room into our home and invite you to come try their 4 current flavors: Rural Raspberry, Apple Alyxandria, P’ville Peach, and Shiraz. We intend to grow their wine list as the business grows. The Winery features a beautiful wrap around deck where you can sit outside as you sip, or relax inside in our tasting room, enjoying artwork (for sale) from Richard Alan Studios.
