Purchased by the non-profit Swatara Watershed Association a few years ago--all maintenance and projects at the park are though donations and volunteers. A lot of the park has been allowed to return to its lush, natural state. The park is no longer operated as a commercial business, it is now available for seasonal public use. Primitive camping, canoe and pavilion rentals are available seasonally. Located half-way into the 60 mile Swatara Water Trail, the watershed park is the ideal place to spend an overnight on a 2-day trip down the creek. The new ramped boat access to the creek (an Eagle Scout project) is one of the biggest improvements under new ownership. Donate to or volunteer with the Swatara Watershed Association to preserve and protect one of Pennsylvania's most beautiful waterways.

Can't ever go back there again, brings tears to my eyes of what used to be my childhood is now just years and years of overgrown brush and trees :(
