The pastor always brings a dynamic word from the Lord. He's real and honest. He gives you the bible straight no chaser. On top of that, he's very funny too. The members are warm, and loving. This is a church where you'll feel like a long lost friend.

I've been a member of this church since 1986. The pastor is \Detroit's Best Kept Secret\. He is a man of integrity and truly loves the Lord. When you hear the pastor preach, he breaks it down so listeners can understand, making the bible very relatable and pertinent to everyday living. Not only that, the church members are very nice, and friendly. Another plus is the service is very streamlined and doesn't last long. Service is approximately two hours. No long choir songs and only one offering. It's so cool. I'm thankful for SBC. Because of the the biblical teaching at this church I have grown tremendously as a person. Although, I'm not perfect, I don't look like what I've been through. I'm grateful for rhe Lord's mercy and grace. Without it, I wouldn't be here. So come check us out. Sunday service begins promptly at 10a and ends around noon. Come hear Pas. Jake Gaines, Jr preach. The Lord is using him and you won't be disappointed. And, in full disclosure, Pas. Gaines is my dad, but even if I'd never met him, the man can still preach! Come join us.
