I have a high risk pregnancy. I’ve have always used St. Joes doctors and hospital for all my pregnancies. I’ve had 5 miscarriages and 1 live birth. I called to get in for an ob appt after finding out I was pregnant. My pcp did a viability sono and sent so they could get me in sooner made my appt for 8am I received a call at 753am as I’m parking that the doctor had the flu and I wouldn’t be able to be seen. Of course I was upset because I was in the hospital the day before for the pregnancy. I was told there was nothing they could do and that the following Thursday would be the soonest they could get me in. After hanging up I get another call 2 hours later saying now they couldn’t see me for another 2 weeks because that appt was given to another patient. Remind you I’m high risk, have bad history with miscarriages and was in the hospital less than 24 hours ago. I asked to speak to the supervisor I was told that there was no one above Brenda. Who I spoke with. And I was repeatedly told oh well that was the soonest they could see me. I switched to upstate. When I called and explained the situation, they were very concerned with my risk. St. Joes needs to get their act together at this office.
