It is always worth a visit if you are a history buff or just curious about the way things were or how things got to how they are now. The museum is a great depository of artifacts that are expertly curated to tell a story of one of the continent's most historically significance areas. Because of the vastness of their collection, new exhibits, telling different stories, are often cycled onto display. Their reference library is filled with locally significant resources that often are not available through online sources. A must visit for those researching their family history or the history of the place they now occupy. Bring whole family. It is kid friendly for the well behaved and adult intriguing for the knowledge seeking purveyor of time.

A must for anyone who loves history, and particularly local history. So many displays and original items with plenty of information. Be sure to stop by the gift shop, too! A lot of great finds there.

The 2020 Christmas ornament is beautiful. But no 2021 Syracuse or Onondaga calendar. Maybe next year.
