A very welcoming place with decent people and an inspiring program. During Covid-19, they are taking great measures to keep the congregation safe. They also live-stream their services for those who don't want to risk attending service in person.

I am grateful for Pastor Scott and my Tacoma Central SDA Church family. May you continue to be blessed as you work for our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

It was okay, but didn't feel as welcomed as other churches.

The church should be a place of refuge and a place where one feels accepted, hence social disparities such as where I am from or if I have an accent or not should not be a factor in my interaction with the church’s pastor, Pastor Scott Tyman. I felt belittled and insulted after entertaining a conversation with the pastor. He seemed to doubt my life experiences and emphasize on the fact that I had an accent insinuating I was not American, even though my accent is a language interference from the six other languages I currently speak frequently. My original intention was to consider this church a place of worship and a safe place for my family and me to come in my time of despair. I do not think this church and especially the pastor (Pastor Scott Tyman) will fit my needs. If you are trying to find a church, this church location may not be the best fit for you, if you do not fit into the most popularly accepted group of Americans.
