I love peytons place its one of the farther places you can go. If you take the long trip there are tons of places to stop and jump off into the water. Even tho it was crazy busy they got us on the water fast. It would make things faster if you print out the liability waiver online ahead of time.

Tried this outfitter in on a recommendation, so glad we did... It was a busy Saturday but the registration moved fast with minimal wait time. Took the shorter trip. Every interaction we had with staff was great. You can tell they care, and want you to have a good time on your river trip. Highly recommend.

I think 17 bucks a night for a tent camp sight with no water or electric is awful high price. However, being right on the river with a rock shelf view on the other side might make it worth it. The store at the front office is pretty convenient and the restrooms were pretty darn clean for any camp sight. The float trip down the river is a very good time . Clear water and exceptional views. I recommend it.

We have stayed here numerous times. The staff is always MORE professional and courteous than at the other campgrounds. Nice store, well equipped, friendly staff, nice cabins (Not waterfront but due to historic flooding it's a smart location), nice restrooms that are cleaned often, nice camping spots, nice swimming area. I would say that this place is far better than the other campgrounds I have visited. I just wish people would give them the five stars they deserve and not allow their floating trip, uncontrolled crowding, and personal views of the river itself to reflect on this campground as a whole. I have camped at almost every campground the Illinois has to offer and these folks are by far the BEST site to visit!

Considering how many people wanted to Float that day, they were pretty well organized and efficient. We had a great time, and they were pretty professional.
