We rented a what seemed to be a brand new boat from the pictures online. When we got there, the boat did not have a radio. The upholstery was torn to bits and duck taped back together. The dials on the dash didn’t work so there was no way to tell how fast we were going. When confronted with this information, the cranky front staff told Offered us 20 on a 500 bill. Other marinas in the area charge similar prices for higher quality boats.

We had a great experience here with both Captain Drew and Captain Brad on different days. our kids had a blast maybe enjoyed the company dog tuna as much as skiing and tubing. Very organized, COVID friendly and the captains for the boat rentals are really great and helped our kids on skiis. Will be back,

Rented a boat here. The boat had several issues with it. Dash board was coming off, no radio, dent in hull, upholstery was totally shot. Boat looked new in photo but probably 20 years old in reality. Total bait and switch. Considering other places on the lake rent brand new boats for the same cost I would stay away from this place if you are renting a boat. When I asked for a price adjustment to reflect the quality of the boat we received, Sally fought with us for a while before finally gaving us a 5% discount which hardly made up for the quality of the boat we received.

We called ahead a week and a half before we went and they recommended making a reservation, but said it wasn’t necessary. So we didn’t, and we definitely should have. We couldn't reach them on the phone to see how busy they were for the day. A 45 minute drive turned into 2.5 hours because of traffic. When we arrived, the gal who seemed to be in charge curtly told us she was completely booked for the day and we should’ve made a reservation. She then abruptly carried on with whatever it was she was doing. Just got the impression that it was “sucks for you. Tough luck. Bye I’m busy” We went down the road and found another place to jet ski. The common theme was that the attitude we received from High Sierra was pretty typical and not surprising at all. It was really a bummer as High Sierra had the best prices in town.

it seems like these reviews are bought or something, but the service is fraud. they are extremely rude and do not care about you.

This is a full service watercraft rental facility despite its modest appearance. Rented three kayak here for my family at terrific prices. Staff was very friendly, accommodating and helpful. Very quick to offer helpful suggestions for our outing. Attentive to safety but not in a burdensome way. They only have four single and four two-person kayaks, so make sure you arrive early our make a reservation if you're kayaking.

Our family of 4 had a great time with high Sierra water ski school. The driver knew exactly where to go to for smooth water. Absolutely use the driver service when renting a boat! You won’t regret it.

After renting boats from a few locations around the lake, High Sierra is always a standout. Even on a busy summer weekend their team is patient, efficient and always enjoyable. Thanks for the continuous 5-star experiences, HSWSS!
