Greg from Bast Floors came promptly! He listened to my needs and provided honest advice based on listening to me. He did not try to upsell me and was amenable to my ideas given my budget and desire to not refinish all my floors at this time. Bast was the fourth company I reached out to and the ONLY ONE that got it! I am excited to work with this company. Their timelessness, follow through and service by Jeremy today far exceeded my expectations. He did a beautiful job and was a pleasure to have to n my home. The screen sanding and water based top coat came out beautiful! No odor. Greg came by during the process to make sure all was well. I am so impressed with the quality of Bast Floorings representatives in sales, customer service, technician and product.
When we first contacted Bast Floors, we were looking to have our wood floors refinished as is and some water damage repaired. They came out, gave us an estimate and we got on their schedule. Then, in the interim, we started working with a decorator to update our home. Our floors were a beautiful, high gloss Brazilian cherry. She recommended matte and perhaps a more walnut like color. We contacted Bast and they indicated they could work with that. They stained a sample piece of our flooring with several options for us to choose from, which we did. When they actually stained a section of the floor, however, the technician immediately showed it to me as he was concerned it wasn’t taking the color appropriately. Brazilian cherry wood likes to stay red and the effect of the color was very orange (as opposed to the dark brown we were going for). It was also oddly glossy though it should not have been. The team at Bast, from the technician, to the supervisor to our in-office contact person, immediately started working on solutions before I could even ask. Never once was I made to feel like an inconvenient customer. In fact, at every turn we were told “we want to get this right”. Trust me when I say, they kept trying different options over the course of several visits until finally Magic happened and there were the floors we had hoped for looking right back at us. It has been a few weeks now and we LOVE our Bast floors— like we smile stupidly when we see them 3 weeks later. We know in our hearts that no other flooring company would have taken such good care of us and our flooring. The whole experience felt like the best kind of teamwork. We are truly grateful we were recommended to Bast Floors.
