I searched all over tampa to find a Casino school and ran into jarryd. After the first class I was hooked! Jarryd is very thorough with his instructions so if anybody wants to learn Casino you have to join his classes...best in Tampa!

I have been learning here for about a year now and every single learning opportunity has been unique and fun!! Jarryd maintains the authenticity of the Cuban dance forms, which makes his teaching style unique and pretty respected in the Cuban dance community. Hes a very knowledgeable and smart instructor and adapts his instruction to suit everyone attending his class - to not stay extremely basic but still break down the steps enough for everyone to follow. I also really like the fact that he explains historical and cultural aspects of various figures, styles and even musical instruments - bringing one closer to the roots of Cuban dance forms. Learning is always fun at his classes and also noticeably evolving. Don't think you can 'wing it' and jump into the final position without him noticing :D he somehow finds out and ensures you learn it the right way :)
Met Jarryd at a drop in class he held in Ybor and instantly saw the passion and knowledge that he has for Cuban dance through his movements. I knew immediately I had found an instructor to learn from. I've recently completed his beginner 6 week progressive Casino partner work class and I'm just as excited to continue learning through the next 6 week cycle. Jarryd is not only teaching Cuban dance, but dropping knowledge on the history, music and culture of dance in Cuba. Jarryd breaks down the movements and makes it easy to understand while still being challenging and fun. Come see for yourself!
