I had a turntable in need of repair so I got in touch with Ron at Sound Exchange. He proved to be extremely knowledgeable, with a gift for explaining the ins and outs of audio equipment that was perfect for a novice like myself. As my turntable wasn't worth repairing, I wound up purchasing one from the Tampa store. Throughput the entire experience, these folks were patient, kind, and super helpful with my sometimes ridiculous questions and concerns. Thanks to the entire team, especially Ron and Steve. You guys rock and now finally, so do I!

What an absolutely amazing place. Stopped in to grab a gift and only got to spend 10 minutes but wow. I can't wait to go back when I can spend a couple of hours looking through all the incredible records they have. Go check it out.

I went in to sell my vinyl - it had spent 40 years moving around with me and it was time to let them go. The staff was very professional and courteous - the transaction was smooth, and we had a great time discussing all the various artists we had seen over the years. I left with a few more bucks than I came in with and 70% of my collection will re-enter the marketplace and make other people appreciate the music I did. You will not get rich doing this (99 cents to 4 an album), but it was a nice way to give my children a new life other than my closet in storage. I recommend giving these folks a visit!

This is my favorite place to shop. I was having issues with a new record player I bought. After repairing it a few times, they talked me into buying an older refurbished record player from the 80s. Never had a problem with that one. That was 3 years ago. They have vintage vinyl records that are in almost perfect condition for around 4. Sometimes I buy Blu-rays, sometimes I buy CDs. I have never left empty handed. The staff there is friendly, but not overly intrusive. They are not pushing any up sales here. Love this place! Revised: The following is an OPINION related to my bad experiences I have had at Tampa Sound Exchange: I used to love shopping here, but I feel that customer service is no longer up to my standards. It pains me to say this, but some Blu-rays, CDs, or DVDs will not work at all. I let it slide for a while, but now I feel like it's become a nuisance to have to deal with multiple returns. Equipment sales feel like a hassle to deal with as well. Sometimes involving multiple trips back to the store for various reasons. I will be avoiding this place in the future. Also, I am publically banned from this store by the manager for leaving a 1 star review on yelp.
