The check in was hours. The counselors themselves were great. The person at the very end was horrible. Took me me, the non patient into a locked room. Saying I need to bring in all this money and I had credit cards I could rack up. I told them to bill me. After saying they required thousands from me, I received a final bill of under 500. Absolutely appalling practices after what a family is already having to go through.

Being in there wasn’t too pleasant of an experience for me and it didn’t help. It just got me more worked up. They purposely keep it cold in there. In the middle of the summer I was wearing pants and sweaters. You don’t get any deodorant. I just used the body lotion they gave me and put that under my arms. You can bring your own clothes in, but they don’t provide any. There were several homeless people in there that were in the same clothes everyday. They do have a washer and dryer, but if you only have one set of clothes, what do you do in the meantime while your clothes are being washed. It was also hard to shave. I was there for two days before I could get a razor and find a tech to take the time to watch me. It only takes me two minutes to shave. Then upon discharge, I was slapped with a 2,700 dollar bill even with insurance. I tried to set up a payment plan, but they said that the full amount was due upon discharge. It’s like what are you going to do if I don’t have the money? Are you going to keep me locked up in here until I pay? Such a joke of a place.
