They are absolutely horrible. They hire the worst people, their training program is horrible and they put their customer service reps on the phone after one day. We begged them to please give us more time to learn about the process and services but they said no they care more about money that efficiency. I was shocked. Coming from a customer service background I could not believe this. Please do not ever go with Consumer Cellular please don't do it. I'm so serious

I was with Consumer Cellular for around 6 months. The Cell service was average. There were times I was out of coverage. The biggest problem was with technical support. It took 4 phone calls to get my phone setup. In this process, one sim card was disabled. I upgraded to a new version of the Android OS (accidently). From that point on my phone would not consistently work. At times could not make calls or could not receive them. Technical support was unable to fix the problem so I had to go with another carrier. The bad news was I still had to pay for a full month of service even though my phone did not work any part of the month. If you do decide to go with Consumer Cellular, get one of their phones. An ATT phone or T-Mobile phone may work but beware of features that will not work.
Don't waste your time or money! There's only a call center! Target sells the sim card. No consumer service center or help anywhere. I was Having a problem with Spam calls. I've tried contacting consumer cellular a 1/2 a dozen times to address this issue and I am never able to speak to a person. I just get a message that they're very busy. I've even tried the app to text. No consumer service!!!!There isn't even a way to cancel service before the end of the service month. If I could give a negative number, I would!
I worked at Consumer Cellular and the job was easy but the customers of course would curse you out, my team leader was very rude everyday and made it hard for me to even want to come to work because of her negativity. Even my trainer didn’t have faith that I was going to stay and thought I would quit! Who says that to a person?? My team leader would always give me and others on her team a hard time when it was time to pass a call on to her because the customer wanted to talk to a Supervisor. I get it we tried to solve it ourselves before passing it to a Sup, but I would do everything and still it was pulling teeth to get her to take over the call. They expect you to not have to customer on hold that long but yet you’re a newbie and don’t really know what to do and if you have them on hold to long you can get fired smh. What a mess. The metric system was hard to follow as a newbie. It all wasn’t worth it and I’m glad I left because now I’m getting paid more at a different company and they actually care about their employees and making sure that they do their jobs right and I don’t have a worry about possibly losing my job over a hold. Thank God I left this company alone I was literally depressed every single day.
