Quality of food is decent, however, I do not recommend the to-go option. I just don't think they take as better care when preparing it. My son wanted soup and he barely got any broth, only a few spoon full worth (also thought the sizing was way small for 13). My rolls also were not connected well and hardly any rice on the shrimp tempura roll.

Date for one was a success. What a cute and hip little sushi joint in Tempe! Delicious. It's located in a seemingly dorm/apartment complex on the outside, facing N on Apache. You have to park on the side of the bldg and walk. How convenient for all the tenants! With all the construction going on, it's a pain in the a** sometimes driving in this area. Just a heads up.

Disappointing, to say the least: -Server was nice enough to move us away from the loudest group I've ever experienced in a restaurant (though still very audible from the other side of the restaurant) -Menu is absurdly convoluted and complex -Sahara Rainbow roll is just a rainbow roll with mayo and barbecue sauce -Salmon Bomber roll does not contain actual salmon (ended up sending it back) -Hot sake was warm at best -Specials were complicated (a bottle of this gets you half off of this, but one of these gets you two free these things...) -Pork belly tasted charred, and congealed before hitting the table Hopefully it was just a bad visit. Service and presentation were good, though.

Pleasantly surprised. The first time around I was unimpressed with the salmon quality from the rolls I got. It lacked shape and texture, but tasted average. I tried a yellowtail handroll next time, which was very good in my opinion. The fish was fresh and the roll was prepared in proper rice to fish proportions. Also, the dish was presented beautifully. The ramen was solid, with a nice blend of ingredients and a lot of chasu and nori to compliment the dish. The broth was done well, if a tad bit rich in umami, and the noodles were fresh and had great consistency. Why not 5 stars then? The aroma of the broth, as well as it's balance could be improved. I will definitely be coming back here. Please support this restaurant, as they are honoring the japanese cuisine. Also, not many places you can get tsukemen. I've only had it at Tsujita, in LA.
