I found an open and affirming home and family at St. Augustine's. This community continues to teach me to live in communion and walk in love with others. The contemplative approach has additionally helped me become an active agent in my own spiritual development - something I couldn't find in more prescriptive approaches of other traditions. I would encourage anyone to come and explore the possibility of this becoming a home for them.

The parishioners here love God and love people, no matter who you are. I'm transgender, and I've never felt unwelcome or looked down upon. I've always been treated with respect as a God-formed human being, just like any other.
