I agree with the previous reviews regarding The Tennessean's unwillingness or inability to cancel my subscription and refund my unused portion of the subscription. As I'm writing this, I am on hold for 1 hour and 38 minutes. They have not responded to the many emails I've sent to customer service and don't even bother to "Live Chat"... that's a joke. No one responds to Live Chat, Email or telephone. I'm now sending emails to the chiefs at Gannet and Tennessean. I guess I'll have to wait a few more weeks to see if they reply. I placed a temporary hold on my home delivery over Thanksgiving week. Delivery was to resume on December 3. It did not! I have reported the delivery issues to the on-line reporting system with no luck. By the way, even that works only sporadically. I was able to speak to a representative in December who stated that all would be corrected. Still I received no newspapers. On January 3, I again emailed customer service outlining my issues and instructed them to cancel my subscription. I never heard from anyone at the Tennessean. I did however receive my first newspaper on January 10. I'm still attempting to cancel my subscription with no luck. I can't believe how poorly The Tennessean is at just delivering the newspaper and their inability to run a competent customer service organization. It is the worst. Buyer beware. Start it and you can't stop it. Place it on temporary hold and may never resume. The worst!

Gave one star only because we cannot give it zero. It's bad enough that the paper contains basically one side of the story, has old news articles, is polluted by USA Today, etc. but customer service is non-existent. It has taken us days to get through to cancel our subscription, no one answers the phone and there is no way to communicate with them. We will send an email and as a last resort will inform our credit card company not to allow any payment as we are closing our account. Maybe they will figure out that we no longer wish to be a subscriber to this rag when they don't get paid.

I can not get these people to stop delivering "Yes!" and "Williamson" versions of their paper. After repeated requests via email and phone. This has been going on for months. DO NOT SUBSCRIBE! Do not read a word of this joke of a paper... even online. Boycott their advertisers. TERRIBLE!

I agree with the previous review. I ordered the Sunday paper about a month ago, got one issue, called to let them know, still no paper. I just called yesterday--again--the person didn't seem to speak much English. Didn't understand my question. I asked for a supervisor to call back. No call back. Called again today. They said the paper will be delivered. We'll see. In addition, the local number for the Tennessean on their website is no longer a working number.

If you want to pay for a service and not get the product, this is the place for you! If you want a place you can call customer service and they won’t help you at all...this is the only place for you! Good luck if you subscribe.

Paper not placed in newspaper box which has been in place for 25 years! My 91 year old Dad does not need to be toddling through the ditch to find paper. I called and advised if it wasn't placed inside the box, I'd cancel. The supervisor promised it would be handled. I called back 2 weeks later to cancel and requested refund. Since then, the paper has been in the ditch, in the street and once in the box. Lousy customer service and accounting.

This is the most horrible, most lousy, most pathetic, place of business that I have ever seen. The Reps here clearly are drop outs. I spoke with Azaria(if that's even her real name) and she left me on hold literally for 20 minutes to get a Supervisor. I forgot I was even on hold. She not once checked back in with me. She then gets back on the phone to tell me that there are no Supervisors. I can't understand how this place is still operating.

They took 104from my bank account for 4 weekly Sunday papers to be delivered for 26 weeks. I have received my first paper yesterday . I have been nice,I have been assertive, I have been down right nasty. They have offered to let me speak with a manager 3 times. All of which has a full voice mail and was told to hang up. If I call and ask to speak to someone about delivery issues, I have to wait up to 45 minutes. If I call and ask to START a subscrIPTION, I wait only 35seconds to 3 minutes!!!!!. Worst case of customer service ever. Even worse than COMCAST!!! Thanks for NOTHING because basically that is what I have received..... NOTHING.
