The food is GREAT. We have been there 2x and we haven't been disappointed yet. We've had different meals every time and we've never had a bad meal or experience. Prices are fair; the 1 tacos on Tuesday are fun and different. The staff is friendly and willing to put up with picky kids who change their mind. The owner came to our table to see how our meal tasted as well as the type of service we had. . He was friendly and congenial and told us how they want to expand the concept. We look forward to the Friday pig roasts. I will definitely go back and I would highly recommend it.

Will not be back. Got seated quickly and server came soon after we got the there but that was the last of good experience. She took drink order but I had to grab a passing hostess to get her back to place our order. She never offered complimentary biscuits even though others had them. Dinner took forever to come and just before it came she said they were out of the red potatoes I had ordered. I asked about bread and she said she'd bring it but then came back to say they were out and making more. It ultimately came after I was done eating. She brought the check with the bread and didn't even ask if we wanted dessert. Not good guys.

This is sort of a strange place. Food is hit and miss. Country fried steak is good. So is the pot roast. Other items just aren't. Seems to try to appeal to seniors. Went there on a Tuesday night and there was some strange senior citizen karaoke thing going on. It was loud and . . . well . . . just not good. But it was in the main dining area and was just not what you want to hear when you are eating dinner with your family. In fact, if we hadn't entered, been seated, and ordered drinks during one of their breaks, we would never have sat down. We ate as fast as we could and got out of there.

Saturday morning, 9:00, place is practically empty. That should have been our first clue. Coffee cup soiled. We were presented with complimentary cinnamon rolls. They were cold and undercooked in the middle. I ordered sawmill gravy and biscuits. The biscuit were small and unimpressive for a place that brags on their fresh baked breads. The sawmill gravy is quite salty and scant of meat. Will not be returning.

Tried this one a few times. First time wasn't great but willing to try again due to overall promise of theme and atmosphere. Unfortunately, after trying again (or perhaps twice again) can't recommend it and won't be back. Good atmosphere and overall theme but restaurant theme doesn't really mesh with their food or drink offerings or specials. Service (Kitchen) can be slow despite relatively minor amounts of patrons. Food quality ranges from poor to average and not too many 'interesting' choices on the menu. Menu is also weirdly at disharmony with theme - pastas meet porkchop (the non fried kind) meet ribs with a smattering of seafood offerings. Happy hour leaves a lot to be desired, and ticketing system didn't automatically take the happy hour into account (had to prompt waiter for the discount) recommend revamping the menu to go with the 'country style mountain' theme - incorporate the moonshine into happy hour offerings, offer tastings. Offer country-style hearty foods and stews with portions to match. Don't put salads on hot plates. "Wedge" salads only work with iceberg not with a limp head of romaine as a 7 ceasar salad... based on overall patronage observed and very large restaurant size, this one won't be around for long unless effort is taken to relaunch.

No problems with service tonight, fast and attentive. Great food too, had the chicken fried steak and it was very nice! We also had a tender steak and a HUGE chicken pot pie in a skillet that turned out perfect!
