I love this parish, I’ve attended this parish for 25yrs and I know how hard the priests here work to bring the love , peace , and healing of God to others in and outside the church. As for the negative reviews they’re misunderstandings and with love, humility, and selflessness all things are possible. We receive Jesus Christ in the Holy Communion it is not a piece of bread and though we are so unworthy Jesus always wants to be close to us. We are ever so privileged to have the Holy Eucharist and should protect it above all things. When in line to receive the Holy Communion if you cannot receive yes you should cross your arms but also make it clear to the priest that you’re there for a blessing, you are allowed to speak if you must to avoid any conflict. We are all made and created differently by God and Jesus calls us all to love our neighbor as ourselves and what he means is love those who put us in awkward situations as ourselves. When the enemy wants to use our brothers and sisters to attack us Jesus calls us to act in love. Because we are all human and living in flesh and we are all tempted to sin. It is our choice how we react. In love or in self defense? God bless and peace be with you.

Love the location and fact that you can visit and sit for prayer or piece of mind with a collection of strangers and feel at peace. Beautiful building structure.

One of the nicest Catholic churches in the Bronx. The parish is working class and very welcoming and friendly. Father Michael Kerrigan is the pastor and he is assisted by Monsignor McManus and Fathers Antonio and Byrne's. Beautiful 60s architecture and stained glass. Only the lower church is used in the summer as the upper church is not air-conditioned. The steeple is truncated, and the other one was not built. The parish school is down the street and the rectory is around the corner on 230th Street in the old convent. The original elementary school on Godwin Terrace is leased by the City as a public school and faces the old Brothers' Residence. The church is merged with Visitation Parish. The local Knights of Columbus are out of Good Shepherd in Inwood.

This Roman Catholic Church was built in the 1960s and has a lower and upper church, a parish center in the former convent on 230th Street, a school on Kingsbridge Avenue and a house on Godwin Terrace opposite the old parochial elementary school. Two priests and a Monsignor oversee this parish and it is a welcoming parish in a changing neighborhood with Spanish-speaking families replacing the old European immigrant families that moved out of the area in the 90s. Visitation is closed but that congregation is bussed to St. John's where the Rectory is. Masses are at 5pm on Saturdays, and three on Sundays starting at 8.30 in the morning. I think the 10am Mass is in Spanish and the next one is at 11.30am. Stop by! The Knights of Columbus are represented via the Parish at Good Shepherd in Inwood.
