Very nice area near downtown but still quiet in the evenings. Parking is a bit hard to find (resident parking only on Street). Besides parking nice place to stay for skiing because it is 30min drive to base and there are lots of restaurants bars nearby.

We had a wonderful time at the Chapelle Street Casitas. Bruce the owner was friendly, helpful and kind. The location is fabulous as you can easily walk to the Santa Fe Plaza which gives you access to local markets, galleries and shopping. The room was eclectic and large. They had a last minute cancellation and so Bruce offered us an upgraded room too - that was fabulous. We had a 2 bedroom house so it was more than comfortable and cool too (very important after a hot day walking around). The complimentary breakfast was amazing. They offered granola, fruit, yogurt, brie, queso fresco, eggs and fresh bread, with good coffee to boot. We can't wait to return to Santa Fe and we will definitely stay a the Chapelle Street Casitas Rental. I would highly recommend this bed and breakfast.
We spent three wonderful days in #8. It was cozy, quiet, peaceful and warm - everything needed for an incoming winter storm. And on the third day, when the storm hit, we were surprised and delighted by breakfast being delivered to our door! We'll definitely stay again.
After a long night of driving from Arizona it was an absolute relief to walk into a quiet, comfortable and supremely located apartment with a very welcoming shower and bathtub. Arriving late in the evening was no problem and we were able to park very close to our apartment in the private driveway. The kitchen fit our needs and was stocked with utensils, pots, glasses etc. My friend and I spent a few days here and quickly appreciated the amazing location with the Georgia O'Keeffe Museum, the Post Office, and all of the restaurants and shops of downtown SF within a short walking distance. Overall, a great place for frugal travelers looking for a central location in Santa Fe.
We truly loved our stay and it was JUST what we expected-even more! Bruce led us to our cassita, and told us where to park when we arrived. The breakfasts were served by Jodi and Karen, which we found to be fresh and delicious with home made coffee, cinnamon rolls, bagels, fresh berries and fruits, yogurt and granola. We were even surprised to try some of Bruce's Green Chile on top of homemade tamales! Skip is a delight to be around as he is the mascot and Bruce's dog. He is sweet and it's easy to tell he is well-loved and taken care of. We could walk to the plaza and had everything we needed, as the bathroom and kitchen are well appointed. What we really loved was how quiet our room was at night. The two-feet thick, stucco walls make it very private. We will be back soon and look forward to our "home away from home!"
Just spent a week at these Casitas! It was my second visit with Bruce, Karen and Jody! Absolutely the best place to stay in Santa Fe and the most friendly staff! Clean, cute, quiet and quaint! Very reasonably priced and, no question, the best breakfast in Santa Fe! So close to everything. We walked to the Plaza and the Railyard. I definitely would recommend staying here!
I rented out this place during the slow season (Jan-Apr 2012). The location is ah-mazing! You really get to stay in the heart of Santa Fe for a very reasonable price. Best of all, Bruce, the manager, is a really good guy and really tried to take care of any needs that I had.
I am itching to leave this place - I'm on the 5th night of a seven night stay and will leave sooner than that. Every thing is broken down and old, the stove in the kitchenette doesn't light, the toilet leaks, the shower takes 5 minutes of maneuvering to get it to work. Remote doesn't work, fridge is whining, there is expanding foam sticking out 3 inches from the wall by the door, the wood floor is planks on dirt making the place dusty and dirty. The pans in the kitchen are 70's era shredded teflon broken handled pans - dangerous to cook in for more than one reason. I'm okay with the tilted foundation, huge cracks and patches, funky oldness of this place. But the bedding and couch are circa 1980. This place needs a serious make-over. The price is good but the goods aren't good.
