I have heard of this place for awhile now but never tried it. It's near the Costco we go to. We called a few times and it was busy, so we drove there instead. Well worth the trip guys! We ordered bone in fried chicken, dark meat only, the 6 shrimp and 6 oyster combo with hush puppies and fried okra. We also added 6 wings wet spicy and the fried gizzard giblets. Wow! Everything was tasty, freshly made and blew my mind! Definitely coming back! Oh also the prices are very decent, not over priced at all. I got everything for 40.99.

Love this place. The medium popcorn chicken is enough to feed all 3 of us!. Their Thai tea is fantastic as well as some of the slushs. For some reason I'm not a fan of the strawberry one (which is normally my go to flavor). The onion rings though are perfectly made. They are normally pretty busy so it's best to call in ahead of time, however they are usually pretty fast at getting the orders out. Its a great family owned/ran place.
An honest down to Earth mom and pop type shop serving all things battered and deep fried at extremely reasonable prices. My son loves the fried chicken while I love their fish and chips. Two huge pieces of North Pacific Cod in a golden brown beer batter with a nice crunch to it. The fish is fresh, the meat firm, they do a nice spice mix seasoning to the fish and breading. They also have a large list of sides, you get two with each meal deal, and as always a soda is just 1. It is a solid choice in Santee.
Chicken is crispy, moist, and not greasy. Large variety of quality sides to accompany chicken. For whatever reason they sell fried rice but it's actually pretty good. Haven't gone back to popeyes since I found this place
Food is always on point. While they make the attempt at good customer service, I'm constantly told 20 minutes for pickup and it's always longer. I even went in tonight 30 mins after ordering and still waited 20 more minutes. Either tell people it's going to be 45 to an hour or hire help, you're obviously understaffed. Everybody in the lobby had been waiting and cashier apologized to everyone. Easy fix...more employees for faster throughout or advertise longer wait times when orders are placed.
Delicious, friendly, and clean! That’s all I got to say. I’m not a big fan of ranch and sauces like that but their sauce is phenomenal!!! I eat it with all their tasty food!
During the 2nd lockdown, we decided to support local and show them some love. They are open for takeout and delivery. This spot is truly a Mom and Pop shop, run by husband, wife and brother in law. With tons of choices for chicken in the San Diego area, do yourself a favor and drive to Santee and get your fried chicken here!! Always order your fried chicken with the dry-spice, it will rock your world! Move over KFC, Popeyes! Believe me - it is cooked to perfection and crispy and my hubby was completely surprised by its heavenly taste as he loves the other chicken chains. We also ordered their butterfly shrimp and fried cod and it did not disappoint. Customer service is always A here. He got our orders out in a timely manner (15-20 minutes), and made sure that we were always stocked up with all the sauces we needed. Highly recommend!!
