I have learned so much in a year and a half at this school with some of the best teachers I’ve ever had, coming to class was the only thing I looked forward to each week! I learned sewing, pattern making, draping, grading, textiles and how to make bathing suits in this short amount of time! I love how interactive each course is and all the projects we got to make. I’ve even made a few friends from my classes here, everyone is so helpful and kind. I can’t wait to continue my learning here in the future! I would recommend this school to anyone who is interested in the fashion industry or even just wants to learn how to sew at home.

When I first started looking for schools to strengthen my fashion skills, I never thought that I would find a school that would really give me the in-depth teachings that I was looking for. The Fashion Institute of South Florida has contributed greatly to moving towards my dreams of becoming a fashion designer. When I first began, I could barely set up a sewing machine. Now I am able to set it up in seconds. I started sewing with little samples to more extensive garments such as pants and jackets, something I never thought I was capable of doing all by myself. I've taken almost every course that this institute has to offer and was not disappointed in the slightest. The teachers are amazing and care for the students, which I greatly appreciated. Recently, I've been accepted to The Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC where I will be studying fashion design. This institute gave me the insight and knowledge that I needed in order to create a successful portfolio that got me one step closer to my dreams. I extremely grateful to everyone at The Fashion Institute of South Florida.

I’ve taken several courses and I have received more than I expected. Although there were moments of self doubt of my progress, the professors were right there to pick me up and show me the way. I must say I am so proud of the things I have made, and the knowledge bestowed upon me. They are very respectful, and inclusive as I started my sewing journey in my 50’s. It’s never too late to learn new and exciting things! I can’t wait for my next course!!

I had the opportunity to take the One Piece Foundation Course and it was perfect! I have been in the industry for many years and found Rucht courses to be easy to follow and well thought out. This is an absolute must for anyone planning to make a swimsuit!
