So I’ll start off by saying, I am TERRIFIED of heights. But the tour guides are really great and make it easier. We had Kyle and Christian and I have to say, they compliment each other so well. Kyle had sarcastic humor which I am a fan of and Christian had a bubbly, customer service oriented personality. They were honestly so great. Walking into the outpost, the facility is nice! The bathrooms, SURPRISINGLY NICE. The staff, extremely accommodating and informative. (we waited 15 minutes for the last party.) The equipment was in good condition. They are strict with the mask and social distancing which I love! (Fun and Safe!) The biggest takeaway I took from this whole thing was how happy and content the employees seemed to be. You can tell the guides do this because they love too. You can tell that the employees take care of the outpost because it’s spotless. From the outside looking in, it seems like they’ve got passionate people doing what they love. And as a customer who is afraid of heights, it was comforting to feel like I was actually being taken care of by a friend who actually cared about my safety as well as my fun.

We had the best time zip lining down the mountain!! Bell and John were very helpful and made the whole tour so much fun! Highly recommended
What an amazing experience, this was my first time (along with my wife) zip lining and we truly can’t wait to return to do this another time of the year for different scenery views. Our tour guides, Christian and Lauren, were fantastic to take to ride through the gorge with. They were able to give us a great intro on “how-to” and you could tell they really enjoy their jobs and being amongst the tree tops. We’ll be returning for different activities anytime we visit NC again. It’s also worth noting the cleanliness of the home base as well as the views while waiting for your tour to take place - until next time, it was a blast to be there today!
Terrific experience all around at The Gorge! Our guides, Nathan and Jakin (not sure of spelling) were engaging, knowledgeable and just great guys focused on safety and everyone having a wonderful time. Go early; the 8am trip was ideal as the fog lifted and the sun rose over the gorgeous Blue Ridge and old-growth forests. Highly recommend for value, too. Bang for your buck with an almost four-hour tour (11 lines and 3 rappels).
