Meat candy. Seriously. The smoked jalapeno poppers stuffed with pork and wrapped in bacon are -amazing-, and the deluxe tacos are a home-run imo too, especially when piled full of their unique tangy coleslaw. I havent had anything I didnt like yet, and I think their prices are really reasonable. The ambiance isnt there yet, but its a true mom & pop style shop that is worth a visit (or two, or three).

Great smoked barbaque is back in moscow! The owner is normaly working, and super friendly. The food comes out quick! I mean quick. Their brisket is amazing, perfectly cooked. Plan to come here more often.

Seriously, order the H&T! You don't name a sandwich after your restaurant unless it is amazing and, boy, was it ever! The brisket and the pork were juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The bun was fresh and soft but held up to the saucy mess that is a BBQ sandwich. My sister had the pork tacos. They were so good she didn't even share a bite with me. The decor was great and the seating was comfortable. The outdoor seating area is a nice alternative to sitting inside and the beer selection was good. Staff was friendly and polite. The wide selection of BBQ sauce on the tables was a nice way to try them all and not create a bottleneck at a condiment area. No complaints here on the price, food, or how they do things. I wouldn't change a thing. Can't wait to visit Moscow again and try something else on the menu.

Had our company dinner here and all of us were very impressed with the flavor. The meat (brisket & pulled pork) was fantastic, probably the best smoked meat we've ever had- very, very tasty and so tender! My only suggestion would be to possibly add a sweet sauce choice to the sauce lineup (for those who don't love the vinegar flavor), and maybe a simple veggie as a side choice for something a bit lighter. The slaw, macaroni, and potato salad we're all good though. The service was also very friendly and helpful. Overall, a good experience!

Make sure to bring an empty stomach! This is the second time I have been to The Hoof and Trotter and it did not disappoint. The portion sizes are generous and the meat is cooked perfectly. The meat just fell off my ribs and the brisket is to die for. All in all wonderful food for a great price!

Food was alright, cornbread a little dry. Beans were different, not to my liking but others might find them tasty. Mac and cheese was good, the tri tip plate was a stringy. Food wasn’t exactly hot, but not cold. It would have been better if the food came out with some steam coming off of it.. Good thing they had a good Texas shiner bock to complement the plate.

My wife and I walked in and the place smelled incredible. We were so excited we spent 35 on a to go order. My wife got the pulled pork, beans, and fries. I had the pulled pork, brisket, mac and cheese, beans and wings. Each meal came with a slice of corn bread. On to the experience. The service was friendly. There was a little wait since they were finishing cooking the mac and cheese. No problem. They offered water and we took a seat. We got our food about 5 minutes later, then drove 5 minutes back home. We opened our meals and found my wife's fries missing; but with an extra cornbread. No big deal.... Tasted the cornbread and it was SUPER dry; completely inedible. The beans were soupy; the only silver lining there was the burnt ends in it. Both our pulled pork servings were cold, and so was my brisket. The wings were pretty decent. They advertised them as savory mango, but ended up being spicy mango. Which is a pleasant surprise, I love spicy food. Finally, the mac and cheese. I had high hopes for this green chili mac and cheese. I open the lid and notice it was cooked with 2 different kinds of pasta. Typically not a deal breaker if done correctly, but its hard to do since different pastas cook at different rates. I take a bite and one type of pasta was perfect, the other was crunchy. Ultimately, if the food was just cold I wouldn't have an issue. I have an oven, I can warm it up. But forgetting a side, awful cornbread, awful beans, and undercooked pasta puts this place at a 1 in terms of food for me. Giving it an extra 1 star because the service was friendly.

I just ate the most delicious taco ever. Order a deluxe brisket taco. I'm serious, this is the best taco I've ever had. Perfect with a beer. There should be a line of people ordering these tacos. And I could hardly believe the low price.
