I've been living at the Ruckus for about 6 months, give or take. I was told up front that the buildings are old, there was never any deception. When I asked for a tour, the sample room that I was shown was definitely more upscale than the apartment that I leased, but that's to be expected. Any apartment is probably going to show you the best version of what they have to bring you in. I haven't had any issue with management or communication. They've sent out plenty of reminders about renovations, general warnings of lease violations, and updates related to COVID guidelines. I have yet to have any negative experiences with the office staff, maintenance staff, or other residents. It's a fairly quiet place and has it's fair share of amenities. I really like that utilities are included with rent; that makes it a lot easier to pay everything off at one time.

DO NOT LIVE HERE IF AT ALL POSSIBLE. I can’t even begin to explain how messy the management is here or how little they care about communicating with tenants about changes, charges, or construction. Half of the time if you try to call the leasing office, the phone isn’t even plugged in for anyone to answer. You aren’t able to pay to get out of your lease, you HAVE to find some new unsuspecting tenant to take over it instead. Right now, in the middle of Covid-19 and online learning, they decided to renovate the 4 by 2 units into 3 by 3 units. This effectively forces everyone currently living in those units to move to a new one, potentially with new people, over halfway through the lease. Oh, but don’t worry! They’re SO generous because they won’t raise your rent to move you around in a pandemic! For months, the leasing office has been nothing but a nightmare. These people need new management and by the looks of it, have been needing new management for a while. Incoming WSU students, learn from my experience and all the other people that left 1 star reviews: DO NOT SIGN A LEASE AT THE RUCKUS UNLESS IT IS YOUR ONLY OPTION. It will never be worth the rent, management couldn’t care less about their tenants, and you would be so much better off at an on-campus apartment or one of the surrounding complexes.

The new office manager, Christina, was amazing and she worked with me on having to move apartments, made sure that I knew what was going on there with the construction. I also feel with her help this transition is going to go so good!!!!!!! Best move hiring her
