I really want to rate this place a 5. The vibe in the store is nice, they have a great product selection, and it is quite clean for a game store. However, I can't, in good faith, give a store a 5 star review that values mammon over community. When the new Shining Fates release dropped, instead of honoring their repeat customers with Elite Trainer Boxes at 49.99 (the retail price), they instead sold them for 125 each! The Soldiery has a lot going for it, but too often it reduces itself to \scalpers with a storefront.\ If that is the business model you prefer, then you will have a good experience here.

A solid shop for games, miniatures, and trading card games. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. As someone who is getting into Warhammer 40k I find the shop to be very useful and their prices seem fair. Overall I highly recommend The Soldiery if your looking for a new board game or looking at getting into deeper nerd hobbies.

Thought this place was awesome, till I realized just how much they mark stuff up. I'm not talking a few dollars, I'm talking like 10 to 20 markups on top of normal retail pricing that can be found online or even at other stores in the local Columbus area. They're just straight-up fleecing people. I'd only go here as a last resort. You're better off going to Guardtower off trabue or UGA games off bethel. I don't think it was always like this.. I used to draft on Friday nights here during Innistrad and Avacyn Restored and don't remember them being like this. Perhaps new ownership. There were at least 4 employees working, which is maybe why they mark up so much to pay for their wages. YMMV here.

Shopped here many times. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly while the store offers a wide array of options for various categories of gamers. One of my favorite places to support locally.
