The photos sebastian submitted still speak the truth for the 2020/2021 year. Unfortunately these situations have not improved. As much as I love being surrounded by a young crowd of people, the staff and management does not know how to be fair. From noise complaints for shutting a door too loud to getting noise complaints before quite hour even starts, it truly is a shame. The hallways are rarely ever clean with people letting their pets go to the bathroom in them. There’s always cans or bottles or some various form of trash in the hallways. The People who scream off their balcony at 3am on a Wednesday night are the same ones calling noise complaints the next night. It’s really an unjust system. Too further the poor standard of living here, almost the entire staff and management are college students, which I both applaud and frown at. I’m happy college students have more opportunities for employment, but putting a 20 year old with no experience in charge of roles that need an Adult with a sense of maturity is truly not an acceptable business model. But I suppose at the standard, the salary of a 20 year old is easier to pay than paying someone with experience. Having to pay for amenities that aren’t even open for half the day is sad. Most people I know work the majority of the week and by the time they get off of work, the hot tubs and gym are already closed. Which is unfortunate seeing as it’s our money funding the amenities. Overall I would not recommend the standard as a place to call home. Heard the uncommon is going to be way better. I’d recommend checking them out.

The pictures speak for themselves... avoid signing a lease here like the plague. Everything about this place is a joke. Hands down the poorest managed apartment complex in Flagstaff. All of the critical reviews posted here are spot on. This place was rushed from the very start and was never ready for prime time when it opened late August, with construction still taking place while residents were moving in. Unfulfilled promises and lies were all I received after several meetings with management here at the standard. They never seem to learn and fail to get anything done at a reasonable time, causing the place to look like a 1.5 star motel in Vegas majority of the time. As the pictures clearly show, common areas at the Standard are typically trashed and look awful, not to mention the stench. The hallways are constantly filthy.

I enjoy living at the Standard because the apartments are very nice and I love our location and view. The gym is very nice as well. I wish they didn't offer rates to new signers over 150 cheaper than I pay as a loyal 2 year resident.

If I could sum up my one year of living within The Standard, I would most definitely say that it is a work in progress, at BEST. It got to the point where the residents next to us would be partying on a nearly daily basis, and due to that, my roommates and I would receive the warning emails and security guard visits at all hours of the night (literally at 3:30 in the morning). After bringing the subject up not once, but two times to management in a formal meeting, the problem was not resolved and simply swept under the rug, and the situation was never resolved. Trash is among the biggest issues within the building, causing horrible smells and sights within the hallways and garage areas. Puke, blood, booze up and down the hallways, you name it. Nearly all of the emergency exit signs are ripped out of the parking structure due to careless guests / residents, and most of them were not repaired for months at a time. Entire sheets of drywall in the elevator spaces would be punched out by drunk kids on a weekly basis, and would be left that way for weeks at a time until finally the amount of complaints got to the point where they needed to address the issue. These pictures should speak for themselves. Both piles of vomit were left sitting there for over 6 days. Paying for a premium living community should come with premium benefits, and unfortunately these guys still have a long ways to go before they meet that objective.

I am now a second year resident at this complex and as much as I’d like to recommend it here, I wouldn’t see myself doing that. I hope they improve on the management and getting back to residents sooner. As someone who is a self co signer I don’t feel respected as much due to the fact I didn’t have a parent sign for that co signing and so I don’t have anyone to speak up if they choose to ignore me. The workers themselves are really nice (most) I think it just needs more communication within the staff because residents seems to hear one thing and then another from someone else. Shoutout the maintenance crew for always being so helpful and cool here at the standard. Great apartments if you don’t mind the . Also taken into consideration they started off on a bad track I do applaud them for the improvements that they have made compared to last year.
